| German carmakers choose R744 Industry insiders
confirmed that German car manufacturers have decided
to choose CO2 (R744) for next generation mobile air
conditioning systems. Grouped under the VDA, German
manufacturers have also decided to stop all developments
on new chemical blends.

| Ammonia semi-hermetic compressor in the Grasso’s
INGENIUM chiller ...the semi-hermetic Grasso reciprocating
compressor now available in 8 different performance
stages. The performance range for this execution is
from 100 - 550 kW with regard to air conditioning applications
for the production of cold water at 6 °C. This performance
range is soon to be extended with the use of screw compressors
up to approx. 1600 kW. For each execution there will
also be an air-cooled option. High COP values are guaranteed
by the use of ammonia as the refrigerant.

close to the design ambient dry bulb temperature is
required, cooling with dry air becomes ineffective.
